Those of us who’ve been to any sort of a wedding know how crucial it is to dress your best – because, if you don’t, you’ll certainly stand-out, and not in a good way by any means. Wedding ties, cravats and cummerbunds are just a few of the things you’ll need to even fit in at a wedding, and if they don’t look good, you might as well not even dress up. So, here’s what most people do – renting a tuxedo is usually the cheapest route you can take but, there are a few things you have to watch out for if you do rent a tuxedo.
First of all, you have to be exactly sure of when you’re going to return it, because, if you’re even a day late in returning it, the fees can be quite expensive. Besides that, most tuxedo rental stops will charge you an arm and a leg there’s anything wrong with the tuxedo you return. Furthermore, renting the tuxedo in the first place can be really expensive – it’s only an option because most men don’t need a tuxedo very often. So you wouldn’t need to buy one, right?
Wrong; buying a tuxedo is a great investment! Not only will you have a great outfit that you don’t need to be fitted for, you’ll be able to save money in the long run – as long as you’re someone who has a few weddings to attend. Buying cummerbunds, bowties, wedding ties and even a wedding cravat isn’t very expensive – but they’re items you’ll need to look good, and as long as you’ve gotten high-quality items like the ones available at DQT, you’ll be looking great.
Beyond that, though, when you’re buying your own tuxedo for a wedding (or maybe even your own wedding!) there are a few things you have to decide on – what kind of wedding cravats will you wear, should you wear a wedding tie or a bowtie, or what kind of cummerbund you should wear. These are all viable questions, and they definitely need to be considered carefully – matching all of your colours and styles will either make or break your wedding, believe it or not. Do you want people remembering what you wore at your wedding – in a negative way – or do you want them to think of your wedding in a good sense?
It all depends on how you dress. Bow ties go great with cummerbunds, as wedding ties go great with vests – even one mismatched wedding cravat can make a negative impression to some, so make sure that you pay attention to every little detail. There’s no reason not to, especially if it is your own wedding, and if you’re only just buying a tuxedo for special occasions, you don’t have to worry about the fine details as much. But remember – people at any special occasion will notice what you wear, and remember; so give them something good to remember!
