Boy's Bowties
Did you know that you can actually make your own little boy’s bowties?Yes, you can! All you need are simple items, a dash of creativity, and voila! You have yourself a neat, little bow tie in a matter of minutes.
Choose the fabric design you’d like to work with taking into mind when and where the bowtie will be used. Cut your fabric into varying sizes of rectangles. For the younger boys, 15” would be enough while adding 2” more for the older ones. Do this by measuring the circumference of his shirt collar.
Pin together your preferred fabric with an interface. Sew over the three edges of your rectangle, leaving one side open. Through the opening, turn the bowtie inside out. Mark the center of your rectangle then fold the ends towards the middle of the rectangle. Pin this down and stitch the stocky center. Fold your rectangle in two and sew through the one you made earlier.
Make your band by sewing a thinner piece of fabric. To hold the bowtie in the center, make another thinner and smaller band. Line the band towards the length of your bowtie then wrap the centerpiece around it. Tighten all the pieces and manually stitch everything together.
And you are done!Come up with your own collection of boy’s bowties even!
