In the present times, the increase in necktie sales is quite evident that some business analysts concluded that the “tie trend” is officially back. The “tie trend” was dead for some years and only people who wear business suits and with office jobs gets to wear it on a daily basis. However, the trend started again since more and more Hollywood celebrities are donning on special ties for their casual and red carpet outfits.

This infamous accessory that accompanies a business suit and lately became part of a fashion statement comes with different colours and patterns. But what are the meanings of red or blue ties? What about the black one? Do the colours mean something?

Yes, it does. And in fact, red ties symbolize power, wealth, and passion. For some cultures, red means luck that is why some wear red ties on New Year’s. While blue ties represent a calm and soothing feeling when worn. People don a blue tie when they got an intense meeting to help soothe their nerves.
